About the event

The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted many industries, including the event organisation sector. Nevertheless, the swift adaptation and innovation certain industries have demonstrated, by utilising technology, have led to them offering virtual events that were both engaging and entertaining.

Black societies face a big challenge, as many of the traditional methods used to recruit and retain members in the lead up and during Fresher's week, are no longer safe due to social distancing regulations implemented to curb the spread of the virus.

This roundtable discussion is an opportunity for Black societies leaders to learn and share creative ways in which they can attract, engage and retain their audiences using virtual facilities and respecting the social distancing guidelines they will be subjected to by their universities.
